Bulls Snap Four-Game Losing Skid

The South Florida Bulls snapped a four-game losing steak over the SMU Mustangs on Tuesday night, winning by the score of 78-71

TAMPA BAY, FL.--After dropping the previous four games, including six of the last seven, the South Florida Bulls (11-10, 2-6) took down Larry Brown and the SMU Mustangs (16-5, 5-3) on Tuesday night by the score of 78-71 inside the Sun Dome.

Entering the game, senior forward, Victor Rudd, needed just 10 points to become the 18th player to reach 1,000 career points at South Florida. Well, he went beyond that.

Rudd led the Bulls with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including a perfect 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. Freshman Chris Perry finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, while Corey Allen Jr. chipped in with 18 points, five assists and two steals.

Down the stretch, the Bulls closed out the game from the charity stripe. For the game, the Bulls knocked out 23-of-29 free-throws, including their last 15.

The Bulls outrebounded SMU 29-24, but still struggled from three-point range, finishing just 3-of-10 in that department.

Nic Moore led the Mustangs with 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting, including 4-of-6 from three-point land.

South Florida will travel to Cincinnati on Sunday to square off the No. 13 Bearcats at 12:00 PM.
