More than five prospects had a good day Friday at The Swamp, but here are the top five performers. It is based on their performance at Florida, not their ranking on Scout.
1. Isaiah Prince | 2015 OT | Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt
Length stood out as did his ability to move with defensive ends. He is still raw, but has so much room to grow physically and as an offensive tackle. His punch was solid, but his feet, flexibiity, and short area quickness stood out most.
2. Chauncey Gardner | 2016 S | Cocoa (Fla.)
Still physical and he looks the part on the hoof, but he showed good quickness, the ability to react to the ball, and closing speed Friday night. A little on the small side, but the Florida commit plays big.
3. Jordan Riley | 2017 DT | Durham (N.C.) Riverside
One that entered the camp somewhat unknown, but he is on the Scout radar in a big way afterwards. Big body (6-foot-4, 285 pounds) and he carries it very well for a rising sophomore. Very strong, showed short area quickness, and a nice first step. One to start tracking.
4. Saivion Smith | 2016 CB | St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood
Long corner with 6-1 plus height. Has a wide radius and his length will be a strength of his in coverage. Really sinks his hips well and is fluid in transition. Quickness showed at FNL as well. Ball skills are a plus too. He made nice adjustments on multiple balls at Florida.
5. Jordan Woods | 2016 DE | Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic
Still growing, getting stronger, and speed is improving. He is more consistent with his first step off the ball, but he has really improved his speed to the quarterback. Will likely be a strongside end on the next level with ability to play the run and pressure the quarterback.
