Despite being hired less than a month ago, the Bulls’ assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, Corey Bell, resigned Saturday and will be joining Jim McElwain’s staff at the University of Florida.
Bell coached at American Senior High School in Miami-Dade County before spending the last two seasons at Florida Atlantic. Bell was a key part of the success the Bulls had this recruiting season, even with a short time frame. You can thank Bell for many of the talented signees that the Bulls landed out of the South Florida area.
Reports suggest that Bell will be replaced by Miami native, Blue Adams, from West Virginia. Adams, drafted in 2003, spent parts of five seasons playing in the NFL before turning to coaching,
After short stints at Purdue and Northern Iowa, Adams joined the Miami Dolphins staff in 2012 and worked as the assistant defensive backs coach there for three seasons before joining WVU last year as the defensive backs coach.
