North Marion WR Talks Recruiting

USFnation talks with Sterlin James the 6-5, 200 pound receiver from North Marion about being recruited by South Florida and his other offers from Big East schools. James was also a member of the championship team from the 2005 Sling and Shoot competition last weekend at USF.

As a Junior, Sterlin James had 32 catches for 520 yards and 8 touchdowns. James is a big physical receiver that can cause match-up problems for almost any cornerback. Although he's bigger than most receivers he is still working hard this off-season to put on more size and get quicker.

"I want to get a little bit bigger because I don't want to be behind when I get to college." Adding, "I want to be physically on the same level as those guys so I can go in and compete right away."

James currently has four offers including Marshall, Indiana Illinois, and Big East rival Louisville. He is also receiving a lot of attention from USF, and even though he has yet to receive an offer from them, this is what he had to say about the program.

"I really want to stay in Florida" James went on to say, "If USF wants me to play here I would like to."

"I like the facilities and the location is good because its not far from my hometown."

As the recruiting season heats up it will be interesting to see if USF extends an offer to James. As of now it the chances of landing this big wideout seem pretty good.
