With the struggles this season at the quarterback position it's good to see the Bulls are looking toward the future, and Alwan Lee of Booker T. Washington may just be the future. Lee recently committed to USF for that reason, he wants to play quarterback.
I talked with head Coach Tim Harris and he said being able to compete at QB brought him to South Florida.
"They (USF) are going to give him an opportunity at quarterback and that's where he feels most comfortable." Says Harris. "He committed early so he could focus on what he needs to do on the football field."
Is he still looking at other options?
"No, I don't think so. He hopes USF interest stays as strong as it is and makes this a reality come signing day."
Alwan will make an official visit to USF sometime in January but until then he will be leading his 6-0 team into the playoffs. Already this season Lee has thrown for 12TD's and rushed for another 6. His coach said he is peaking at the right time and playing better than he has his whole career.
