Hall, Royal Earn BIG EAST Honors

Andre Hall was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while Terrence Royal earned defensive honors and Art Carmody received special teams accolades.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - USF running back Andre Hall, defensive end Terrence Royal and Louisville kicker Art Carmody received BIG EAST Conference weekly football honors on Monday. Hall is this week's BIG EAST Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Royal earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. Carmody received BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week accolades.

In a 45-31 win at Rutgers on Nov. 5, Hall rushed for 168 yards on 35 carries and scored three times - on three 2-yard touchdown runs. He surpassed the 2,000 career yard mark in the game. In addition, Hall set a USF record for total touchdowns in a career (23) and tied the school record for career rushing touchdowns (20).

Royal scored his first career touchdown in USF's win over Rutgers, returning a fumble 11 yards for a score. He also intercepted a pass and returned it 22 yards to set up a Bulls' touchdown. Royal registered six tackles in the game and posted 0.5 sack.

In Louisville's 42-20 victory over Pittsburgh on Nov. 3, Carmody tied a U of L record with four field goals (in four attempts). He hit his two longest attempts - 46 and 47 yards - in the first half. The 47-yarder was a career-high. Carmody followed that up with field goals of 32 and 36 yards in the second half.
