About a month ago Robert Spann 6-foot-1 225 pound outside linebacker from St. Petersburg High School (Fla.) made the decision to play for the Bulls. He committed to Coach Leavitt when the head coach came to visit him at school.
"Coach came to my game versus Seminole, but I couldn't play at the time." Adding, "I committed to him and he told me when I am cleared through the clearing-house at the end of the year he would sign me. He even called my mom two days ago to reassure her I have a scholarship."
Spann on his decision to choose USF:
"I have a little girl, and I wanted to stay close to home and take care of her." Spann also said, "I'm friends with Andre Hall and I see this as a program that is on the rise, I just want to be a part of it."
Robert has no other visits planned and says he is solid in his decision.
