Recruiting: Quick Hits

With some time off from practice, USF coaches are pounding the recruiting trail this week and I have a bunch of Quick Hits to report. Check out the latest on Daron Rose and many other prospects.

Joel Jones DE of Sarasota Booker is most likely going to go the JUCO route.

I talked with Robert Spann last night and he told me he is 40 points away on his SAT from qualifying, and says it won't be a problem.

I am hearing that Daron Rose is close to making USF his fifth official visit. As of now he has 4 planned. That would mean a lot for USF's chances.

Dexter McCluster is currently re-taking some classes in night school and assured me his grades will be enough to get in.

McCluster is taking an official visit to Ole Miss this weekend.

As of now USF has a better chance with Kevin Alexander (LB) than Alonzo McQueen (LB) both from the jax area.

I am 75% sure that USF lands both James Boger and Zack Herman. I am 90% sure they land one of the two.

As of 9 p.m. on Thursday neither Boger or Herman have an offer.

Nick Plasenci DE from Jesuit will probably go to either Harvard or Westpoint.

I think Jerrel Young will commit to USF.

USF likes Darrell Davis at almost any position, including WR,S,LB,TE.

OL Mark Jones from Port Orange, his Dad is pulling for USF but he's not done thinking it over.
