Miami Central Star Commits To South Florida

Sabbath Joseph is one of the top linebacker prospects in South Florida, Joseph finished last season with 95 tackles, three blocked kicks, and one defensive touchdown. He has tremendous sideline to sideline speed and is physical in the running game. His understanding of the game is very strong and he plays with a tremendous amount of energy and passion. Now he will bring those skills to the University of South Florida.

Sabbath Joseph on why he chose USF?
"I came home from my ASU visit and it was narrowed down to USF, ASU, and LSU, all three are good programs, but it came down to where I was more comfortable. USF is a great program that is going places. Also I have chance to come to USF and play early, and help the team to get to the BCS ."

How did the Commitment go down?
"Well I called coach lane and told him I wanted to commit, then I called coach Leavitt and I got his voicemail and left a message: Hey coach where do I sign? The next morning coach was at my school and I gave him my commitment."

What are your Grades?
"I have a 2.28 GPA and I got a 17 on my ACT, I haven't received my SAT results yet, but everything is going good. Grades won't be a problem"

What position will you be playing at USF?
"I think Weakside Linebacker ."

When will you be enrolling at USF?
"probably in the summer."

What will you do to stay in shape until then?
"I've been working out real hard, I'm ready to come play some football"

So how do you feel about your decision?
"I'm very excited and happy I finally made my choice "

Depending on how much weight Joseph puts on in the off-season he may end up playing saftey. Regardless of where he plays this is another solid pickup by the Bulls. At 6-foot even, 208 pounds he is a highly coveted prospect and it's never easy to land kids out of the Miami area.
