USF At Rutgers: Game Day

The South Florida men's basketball team finishes the road portion of its 2005-06 campaign with A BIG EAST Conference game at Rutgers Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Bulls and Scarlet Knights will be meeting for the second time in just over a week. The Bulls are still looking for the program's first BIG EAST win and have lost 15-straight games. The Bulls finish the season with two home games, they host nationally ranked Connecticut (March 1) and Georgetown (March 4) at the Sun Dome.

Senior James Holmes and junior Melvin Buckley have 126 of the teams 132 3-pointers this season, which makes them the first teammates in the programs history to score 60 or more 3-pointers each in a single season. 

Center Solomon Jones is ranked 13th nationally from the free throw line (80.00 percent). He is also seventh in the nation, and second in the BIG EAST in blocks with 3.04 per game.  He also owns the third-best  single-season blocks total (80) in the Programs history. 

Forward McHugh Mattis has the teams best field goal percentage with 62.6, and is second on the team in rebounds with 7.4 per game, and blocks with 2.19 per game.

James Holmes leads the team in scoring with17.1 points per game, steals 1.85 per game, 3-PT field goals with 2.42 per game, and minutes played with 38.62 per game.
