Andre Hall: Post Draft Q & A

Early projections had Hall going as early as the third round but after the two day draft wound down and Hall's name wasn't called, he agreed to sign a free agent contract with the Buccaneers on Monday. USFNation caught up with Andre and got the details.

Andre Hall was a All-Conference selection as a senior and led the BIG EAST in all-purpose yards with 141.2 per game,  totaling 1,374 yards on 270 carries on the ground  with 13 TD's, He also led the team in receptions with 26 for 321 yards with 2 TD's. Hall, from St. Petersburg, Fla., broke his own USF single season record which he set as a junior posting 1,357 yards . He also broke his own record for rushing touchdowns with 13, and led the team in rushing and receiving. Hall finished his two-year USF career with 2,731 yards and 24 rushing touchdowns, both school records.

USFNation: It's all over, how do you feel?
Andre Hall: I'm alright, I'm good, I'm ready to go do my thing here in Tampa

USFNation: How did it all go down?
Andre Hall: Well they called, then I  actually called them about the 5th round, we talked in the 6th round, but after the 5th round  I knew what I was going to do.
USFNation: Where did you watch the draft today?
Andre Hall: Today I spent  most of the day at the hospital, my mom has diabetes, and is in ICU. That also had some to do with my choice to stay in Tampa.
USFNation: Was there interest from other teams?
Andre Hall: Yeah, I turned down a few teams, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, and the New York (Giants)
USFNation: What were your feelings yesterday?
Andre Hall: Yesterday, I was upset. Yeah I was pretty upset,  it definitely bothered me. I was really hoping I would go yesterday, but after I saw that I wasn't going yesterday, I knew I was going to play down here from then on. I was like man I'm relying on the Buc's right now. But I feel like I fit in and will get to prove myself, and get a roster spot.
USFNation: Do you know why you weren't drafted?
Andre Hall: I don't know why, I have no idea, but I didn't even want to get into all that.
USFNation: What were the main factors in your decision?
Andre Hall: Well after I wasn't drafted early, I decided I wanted to stay close to home, and the Buc's were a good fit for me.

USFNation: How do you feel about your decision?
Andre Hall: I feel good. I don't have to go anywhere, I can stay at my house in St.Pete. I'm like 20 minutes from the Stadium and only 10 minutes from the practice facility. I'm probably closer to the stadium than  a lot of the guys that live in Tampa. So I'm good to go.
