Naples Running Back Has a Favorite

Greg Williams of Barron Collier High School in Naples, Fla, currently holds offers by some of the top schools in the country, but after camping at USF last week, he says the Bulls are at the top of his list. Read on to see what other schools have offered, and where the Bulls are on his list.

In 2005 the USF coaches signed Moise Plancher from Barron Collier High School in Naples. This year there is another runningback out of Naples on their radar. His name is Greg Williams of the same Barron Collier. At 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, Williams could be a perfect fit for the Bulls, He also plays basketball and runs track at Barron Collier.

As a Junior for Barron Collier, Williams rushed 139 times for 1,241 yards and scored 15 touchdowns, and runs a 4.41 forty-yard dash.

Williams was at a team camp at USF last week and USFNation caught up with the Naples runningback.

What are your assets as a runningback?
"My Style of running, I have a good combination of speed and power."

Is there anything you want to work on this upcoming season?
"I want to work on my running and my footwork."

What Offers do you currently have?
"I have offers from Pittsburgh, UConn, West Virginia, LSU, Colorado State, Indiana, UCF, USF, and Florida"

Do you have a top 5 as of now?
"Yes sir, USF, Florida, Pitt, West Virginia, and Indiana"

Do you have a favorite right now ?
"USF is one of my favorites"

When do you plan on making a decision?
"Sometime during my senior year, after the season probably."

Williams added "I want to go to a program with strong academics and a winning football program. Playing time is going to factor in a well. I want to start early and make an impact."
