Charlton Sinclair: Earning More Offers

Charlton Sinclair of Mandarin High School, was one of the top defensive backs at the All-American Combine in Jacksonville back in March, is being recruited by many of the top programs in the south.

Charlton Sinclair was a standout performer at the Combine in Jacksonville as the safety from nearby Mandarin High posted some blazing times in addition to a 39 inch vertical jump and a ten-foot broad jump. Even with that type of performance under his belt, Sinclair is still busy.

"I've been really busy, with a lot of colleges coming in to see me," said the 5-foot-11, 185-pounder. "I've been to South Carolina and that's the only one I've been to this summer. That was for a passing tournament, and I did real good up there. I did a lot of one-on-one coverages and ran a real good time the forty, a 4.6.

The performance certainly helped Sinclair as the younger brother of Gamecock linebacker Gerrod Sinclair claims an offer from South Carolina.

"I am hearing a lot from South Florida, Auburn, West Virginia, Illinois, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and Florida State. Everybody has offered except Georgia, Florida State, and Florida. They are talking to me, but it is a waiting process to see what they are going to do. That is why I haven't committed to a school yet, I am just going to wait it out."

Even with all the interest, Sinclair said there is one team to keep an eye on when all is said and done.

"South Florida, they stand out to me. They stay in contact with me every week they have something good to say about me. South Florida is fitting for me real good, I have an unofficial visit set up on July 29 to see what they are about."
