USF In Top 5 For 4 Star WR

Dion Lecorn of Trinity Catholic was in Tampa this weekend playing in the Sling & Shoot tournament at USF. USFNation caught up with the four star WR who talked highly of the Bulls and even lists them in his top 5. Read on for the rest of the story.

It's no secret who the top WR prospect is this year for the USF Bulls. That would be Trinity Catholic's Dion Lecorn at 5-foot-11, 205 pounds Lecorn also has the potential to play safety or running back on the college level. However if the Bulls do land him it won't be without a fight. Dion currently holds 12 offers including South Carolina, Florida, UCF, Auburn and NC State.

So far this summer Lecorn has visited UF and USF, but also plans to travel to South Carolina before school starts in August. While in Tampa for the Sling & Shoot tournament he was also able to tour the USF campus and facilities with some of his teammates.

"I've been out here a few times and I like what they have to offer. It's an upcoming program and they are just getting started."

Although he was offered his junior year, Lecorn says that Coach Franks keeps in close contact and reminds him that USF would love to have his services for the next four years.

"Right now my top teams are South Carolina, Florida, South Florida and Central Florida."

USF is in a great spot for one of the top wide-outs in the state. Lecorn says he will not make a decision until he takes all his visits during the fall. He also added that USF would be one of the three official visits he takes. Knowing that he won't make his decision until signing day, USF must stay on him and continue to impress. USFNation will be sure to track the recruiting process of Lecorn throughout the season.
