"As soon as I found out I'd be coming to Tampa I called them to let them know I was sending them film. A few days after I sent it I got a call saying they wanted me to attend their showcase camp."
As of now Rocco does not have any offers, but he says Akron, Ohio and Toledo have been giving him a lot of attention. MAC schools are known for their QB's and this is a good sign that Rocky could be come a hot commodity in the fall. All though he doesn't have an offer it sounds like USF is a favorite.
"I have a lot of interest in South Florida." Adding, "This is a beautiful place, the weather is amazing and I would move down here in a second!"
Colevecchia describes himself as a pocket quarterback, but also says he has the ability to fit into a more mobile style offense, such as the one USF runs.
"In high school we run a spread offense with a lot of option plays. I prefer to throw in the pocket, but sometimes I just have to run around and make plays."
Rocco plans on making a decision after his season is over. He says he's put in the work this summer and thinks his play this fall will open the eyes of the colleges. On Saturday he definitely made an impression on USF. He showed a strong arm and great touch. He threw the tightest spiral out of all the QB's and drew praise several times from Coach Leavitt. USFNation will follow Rocco through his senior season, stay tuned.
