Bulls Lead For Sebastian River DE

USF home games bring more than just fans to the game, they also bring recruits. Kendrick Washington was one of the top recruits on the sidelines for the Bulls win on Saturday. Find out more about him in this update. Only on USFNation.com!

It's obvious that there is a major emphasis on defensive line recruiting this year. Already the Bulls have landed Claude Davis of Lake Gibson and are now moving on to another large target. Kendrick Washington, defensive end from Sebastian River. At 6-foot-4, 245 pounds Washington would be a player who has the potential to make an immediate impact. As a Junior he had 65 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, 6 sacks and a defensive score.

As of now Washington has two offers, one from USF and the other from Ole Miss.

"I've also been talking with Florida and Florida State. I don't have offers from them, so basically South Florida is at the top of my list."

Even though its early, Washington already knows what schools he wants to visit when it comes time to take the always important official visit.

"I'm coming to USF again, and I'll probably go to Tallahassee for the Florida vs. Florida State game. Then I might head to Ole Miss."

If the Bulls were to land Washington he would bring size and speed to the defensive line. Already this season (3 games) he has 25 tackles, 5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and a defensive score. Nearly the same stats he had in ten games last year. And his visit this past weekend should leave a lasting impression on the seniors mind.

"It was a good game." Adding, "(USF) seemed like they were going to hurt themselves early on but they did something coaches always teach you to do and that's not give up. They came out fighting in the second half and won the game."

Washington also said he had a great time visiting with the coaches before the game and the players afterwards.

"I would rank my visit about a nine or ten. I had a good experience and I like this program."
