Hot Prospect: Tyson Butler

You heard a little about him today during the Report on ESPN 1470, now here is the rest of the story. Read on to find out more about the 5-foot-11 RB with 4.4 speed. Only on

The newest name in the RB hunt is Tyson Butler, from Cypress Lake in Fort Myers. Butler is a prospect that could turn out to be the "big one" in this year's class. It's hard to say he's flown under the radar when he has offers from Pitt., WVU and Tennessee, but in the state of Florida he's not getting much recognition. Already this season he's rushed for over 1,000 yards on only 135 carries and he's added 16 touchdowns. His stats are comparable to any of the top backs in the state, yet none of the Big 3 are knocking at his door.

Coach Franks offered Butler earlier this year and has attended one of his game's.

"I like USF, they got a young good team, they're in a good conference and I like what they're doing there."

As for visits Butler has one set for now, but expects to make a couple more.

"I think USF is trying to set up a visit, but I don't know when. I'm going to WV on a visit Dec 1st."

With blazing 4.4 speed and the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, Tyson Butler would be a huge pickup for the Bulls. It's good that they've gotten in on him early, because if he keeps putting up the numbers, the offers will start rolling in. As of now he doesn't have a top 5 and claims he's wide open.

"Right now I'm pretty wide open, I'll discuss things with my mom, but I won't make a decision until January probably."
