The South Florida Bulls received their ninth commitment Tuesday when they landed Patrick Richardson of Woodham High School in Pensacola. At 6-foot-1, 185 pounds Richardson plays receiver, but also returns punts. He also had offers from Maryland, Louisiana-Lafayette and Florida International.

"He's a great kid, and a great athlete, but he's still learning the game of football, this is only his second year of playing. He's also a basketball player and a track guy." Said Titan head coach Smith. "Patrick is an explosive player, and has had to deal with three different quarterbacks this season, right now we're playing a 14 year old." Coach Smith added, he's a dominant player for us, and we try and get the ball in his hands"

Richardson leads the Titans with 372 yards on 21 receptions with 3 touchdowns receiving. He also has 2 punt returns for scores this season. " He is our number one return guy" Said Caoch Smith.

"Last year was his first year, and he kind of busted onto the scene and was named first team all-area, and first team All-Northwest Florida after last season."

Qualification won't be an issue as he has a core G.P.A. of 3.6 but his average is over 4.0, and scored a 22 on his ACT. Coach smith also added "He's a great kid and comes from a great family"

"We went to a bunch of camps this past summer, but he really liked what he saw at South Florida, and the opportunity to work with coach Dawsey, and when they offered he decided that was where he wanted to be."

Check back with USFNation when we do a player Q & A as we follow Patrick as he progresses through his season and up to signing day.
