The Bulls coaching staff is racking up on the early commitments. This time it's Darren Powe from Lafayette. The 6-foot-3, 230 pound defensive end has been a force this year. He has 65 tackles, 8 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 15 tackles for loss.

Powe has been somewhat overshadowed in the recruiting world by his teammate Aaron Gresham. Powe did have offers from Cincinnati, FAMU and Middle Tennessee before committing to USF last week.

"I committed to Coach Gregory about a week ago." Adding, "I did it because I like the school, its D1 in a BCS conference. I'm also good friends with Marcus Edwards."

As far as grades go Darren looks to be in good shape.

"I have a 3.2 GPA and a passing score on my test."

Powe describes himself as a pass rushing end, who could also play linebacker. He says he models his game after former Gator Javon Kearse. He plans to take an official visit to USF and says he's talked with teammate Aaron Gresham about the possibility of being teammates once again in college.

"Aaron is taking a hard look at USF right now. I hope to play along side him, but in the end it's his decision."
