Josh Bellamy 6'0-183lb RB Why did you choose USF?
Josh Bellamy: I chose USF because this is where I'm at, Florida.  It's like people up in Ohio want to keep the talent instate and win a championship, I want to go to South Florida a score a touchdown and win me a championship

USFN: How did you do this season?
Bellamy:  This season I did good but, I only played in eight games, and rushed for 966 yards and 11 touchdowns, and almost 300 yards receiving, I also had a 18 yard receiving score. I also played safety."

USFN: Why did you only play in eight games?
Bellamy:  Well I was helping out a teammate and he got in trouble so coach wanted to discipline me too, to make an example, show that it doesn't matter if you're the best player, he's going to sit you. I didn't have a problem with it; we still won one of the games. I came back the next week and I ran for like 128 yards

USFN: Have you been following the Bulls this season?
Bellamy:  Yeah, I watch all the games. I love Matt Grothe

USFN: How about that West Virginia game?
Bellamy: I was excited, I was like oh yeah, I thought they would get ranked in the top 25 that was a big win.

USFN: Do you know any of the current players on the Bulls?
Bellamy: Yeah I know one that walked on from my school Brad Chancey, Also Kevin Williams who is supposed to be going there in January, so I'll be there with them.

USFN: What style of a runner back are you?
Bellamy: I don't know about what style, I just play.

USFN: What style of offense do you like to run in?
Bellamy: We run a pro style offense at Bogie, three wide, two backs. It doesn't matter to me what offense we run,  as long as I get the ball.

USFN: What are some of your strengths?
Bellamy: My footwork, my moves and my speed.

USFN: Is there a player on another level, college or pro that you model your game after?
Bellamy: Yeah, Reggie Bush and LaDainian Tomlinson.

USFN: How are your grades?
Bellamy: I got a 2.6 core GPA.

USFN: Are you still looking for a qualifying score on your test?
Bellamy: I took the SAT and got a 750, but I'm going to take it again in January. Just to make sure I like to get like 820. .

USFN: When did you decide to go to USF?
Bellamy: I think I always knew that I was going to South Florida.

USFN: Have you been to USF?
Bellamy: Yeah I went to one of their one-day camps over the summer. I loved the campus, I felt at home there. With all the drills they do there, I do that kind of stuff at my school. Also, I love coach Franks the running backs coach, he's one of the best, he coached Fred Taylor.

USFN: What other schools were showing you interest?
Bellamy: Florida, Iowa State, Indiana, Akron, Western Michigan, there were a couple others that offered me also.

USFN: Are you sill planning on taking your visit to Western Michigan this weekend?
Bellamy: I was supposed to leave today, but there was a big snowstorm, so I probably won't be going now.

USFN: Are you going to make an official visit to USF?
Bellamy: Yeah. I think I'm going January 26th for my official visit.

USFN: Are you 100% committed to USF?
Bellamy: Yes sir.
