Leavitt Visits Lee County RB

Tyson Butler, the starting RB in the Lee County All-Star game recently had an in-home visit from Bulls head coach Jim Leavitt. Find out how the meeting went and the impression the coach left on the family. Butler also tells USFNation that he has his choice narrowed down to just two!

Bulls have already signed one running back and they are still going hard after a few others. One of them is Tyson Butler, who has been talked about previously on USFNation.com. We caught up with Butler just before today's all-star practice where Butler has been named the starter.

Butler has been offered by Pittsburgh, Tennessee, West Virginia, Indiana and USF. The Bulls have been showing interest for months now, Butler said coach Franks offered him before the season.

Last week was quite busy for Butler as a carousel of coaches paraded through his living room. First it was Jim Leavitt, then it was the wideouts coach for Pitt, followed by the Indiana head coach. Butler spoke highly of all three but said Coach Leavitt left a lasting impression.

"The visit went well." Adding, "I enjoyed talking to him and so did my parents. The things he said, they thought were great. He talked with them mostly about off the field issues."

Butler said he mostly wanted to get a better over-all feel for the program.

"I wanted to know the offense and stuff, but I also wanted to know the direction of the team and some academics as well."

Next weekend Butler heads to Pitt on an official visit. He tells USFNation that he has narrowed it down to two.

"I recently decided it's going to come down to Pitt and USF."

He visits both schools and says a decision will not be made until the two visits are completed. When asked what the deciding factor will be Butler simply said, "where ever I feel more comfortable."
