Belle Glade OT Sets Visit With South Florida

Coming off of a State Championship victory, Jatavious Jackson can now concentrate on where he'll attend college. He currently holds offers from FSU, Clemson, LSU and USF. Find out who is in his top 3, what other vists he's taking and much more. Only on USFNation.com!

There have been a plethora of talented linemen recruited this offseason by the Bull's, however none seem to be able to fit in at the tackle position. Until now. Jatavious Jackson, 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds, looks to be the top prospect on the board for O-linemen. Sure Elvis Fisher, Sampson Genus and Tyler McDermott are talented, but what is needed is an athletic tackle. Jackson provides just that, quickness and power, not to mention a State Champion.

The Bull's will not be the only team chasing Jatavious this offseason. He also has offers from Clemson, FSU, Ole Miss, West Virginia and USF. Both Clemson and LSU have offered him as a defensive lineman, the rest have offered him on the offensive side.

USFNation recently reported that a coach went down to visit Jackson last week at his school, Jackson confirmed this by saying that it was offensive line coach Greg Frey that made the trip down south.

"Yeah, Coach Frey came to see me. He and I have a good relationship. We've been talking ever since they offered me (just before the season)."

Frey was there to finalize plans for Jackson to visit USF on January 12th in Tampa. The official visit is one of 4 the three-star OL will take. The others are LSU, Clemson and most likely FSU.

Jackson said he's followed USF closely this year and knows about their need for a big-time tackle.

"That's the main thing I like about USF right now. The chance for me to come in and get some quality playing time."

He also said that all 5 teams mentioned are in his top 5, although he does not have an order he does acknowledge USF is in his top 3. Good news for the Bulls who have been busy looking for a stud tackle.

Now that his season is over Jackson will concentrate on his visits and school work. Stick with USFNation as we follow him through signing day.
