USF Recruiting Roundup

Tonight brings you updates on Tyler McDermott, DeMario Ambrose and Elvis Fisher. Find out where McDermott will be attending college, the latest on Ambrose and why Fisher may be leaning away from USF. Only on!

DeMario Ambrose DE: We first reported on Saturday that the Bulls were going after the 6-foot-4 defensive end from Mobile Alabama. USFNation spoke to him on Monday and he said the Bulls are in consideration, but not in his top 5. That list goes like this: Purdue, Arkansas, West Virginia, South Carolina and Clemson.

He has taken a visit to Arkansas and has another set for SC, the only other visit he is still working on would be WVU. That leaves USF visit-less for now.

Tyler McDermott C: We've talked about McDermott for weeks, and as most people who frequent our message board know, he committed to Colorado over the weekend. The reason was USF was slow to offer him a visit.

In his own words:

"I thought the campus was nice, its in Florida, it's close to home. It's just that they didn't pull the trigger on me, they seemed iffy about it, so I took my visit to CSU and felt comfortable there. If I would have went on an official to USF everything might have been different, But I like CSU and that is where I want to go.'

Elvis Fisher OG: After a well publicized "miscommunication" with USF, Elvis is once again leaning away from the Bulls. Telling USFNation that his visit went so well with Missouri he could commit as soon as today or possibly next week. He'll talk it over with his dad before making a final decision. The deciding factor in this could be visit dates. Fisher wants to commit early, but not before taking an official visit to the school of his choice. The problem is USF isn't offering him a visit until mid-to-late January. This could be enough to cause Fisher to pull the trigger on Missouri.
