The Bulls have added another recruit to their ever growing list of verbal commitments. This time it's a Terrel McClain, defensive tackle from Pensacola, FL. Read on to find out why he chose the Bulls, and get the rest of the story. Only on USFNation.com! - Get it First, Get it Fast!

This week was the beginning of the "Dead Period" in college recruiting, but it was anything but dead as the Bulls coaching staff picked up the team's 16th commitment of the year Monday from DT Terrell McClain of Pensacola HS.

"He chose USF because it's close to home, Tampa is where we're from and where Terrell was born. He felt real comfortable there, and he has a real good chance to play early." Said Terrell's father Perry McClain.

McClain (6-foot-3, 290 pounds) is a force on the defensive line registering 66 tackles, 7 for losses and eight sacks this season.

"He's real excited, he just loves it there," said McClain's father "we have lots of family in Tampa. So hopefully they can watch him play."

McClain had many offers including Miami, Auburn, and North Carolina State. Also Florida and Alabama had shown interest as well.

McClain who just played in the Pensacola All-Star Game and was named Defensive MVP has been to USF unofficially, and plans to take an official visit sometime in January.
