(Pittsburgh, PA) South Florida returns home tonight after another disappointing 69-48 loss to another ranked opponent in No. 10 (AP POLL) Pittsburgh. The Bulls drop to 9-7 for the season and 0-2 in conference play.

South Florida's Kentrell Gransberry scores 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in their first ever loss to PITT. It was another difficult match up for the Bulls, facing the Big East's hottest team in PITT. Levance Fields led the Panthers with 11 points and went 3 for 4 on three pointers.

South Florida stayed in the game early as Gransberry took the lead (9-8) with an amazing layup that danced atop the backboard. But PITT answered with a wide open three that put them up by two with 13:30 left in the first half. PITT began drilling three pointers late in the 1st half and stretched the lead by 10 at half time, 32-22. PITT shot 66.7% on three pointers, making 10 out of 15.

The Panthers kept a comfortable 15 point lead in the second half that the Bulls never recovered from the deficit.

South Florida had a few moments of brilliance, but they must stay consistent through the entire game if they want to defeat a team like PITT. The Bulls struggled to move the ball in transition and for the second game in a row had to many costly turnovers.

PITT now leads the Big East with a 2-0 record in conference play and may have been the Bulls strongest opponent for the year.

The Bulls once again played with a skinny bench of three players and the team is suffering. It is obvious the long road trips and injuries have worn out the Bulls. They have got to find a way to heal up before opening the conference play at home versus Louisville.
