Calvin Sutton 6-foot, 215 pounds.

USFNation: Why did you choose USF?
Calvin Sutton: I chose USF because they're right there in my back yard, there're close to home and I'll get a chance to play early.  Also I really like the coaches; they made me feel like I'm one of their own all ready.

USFN: How did you do this season?
Sutton: Our team went 6-5, me personally, I had 164 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and one sack for the year.

USFN: Last year you had 19 sacks and 116 tackles why the big difference?
Sutton: Last season I blitzed a lot, this year I was more of a run stopper.

USFN: How long have the Bulls been recruiting you --who were involved?
Sutton:  I'm not sure exactly how long, but a while back they called me and told me they wanted me bad. I spoken with coach Dawsey, and mostly with the linebacker coach Burnham.

USFN: What schools were showing you interest prior to committing to USF?
Sutton: Ole Miss, Auburn, and USF, those three were showing the most interest.

USFN: How long have you been favoring the Bulls?
Sutton: I've been favoring the Bulls since I found out that they offered me, when I found out that I had an offer, they really jumped up on the list, before that I didn't know I had an offer, I thought they were just staying in contact with me.

USFN: When did you commit?
Sutton: I called coach Burnham Friday and told him I wanted to commit.

USFN: Have you been to USF before?
Sutton: I used to live in Tampa in my freshmen year, so I know a little bit about them.

USFN: Do you know any of the current players on the Bulls?
Sutton: No, not personally, but I read a lot about the middle linebacker Nicholas.

USFN: What style of a linebacker back are you?
Sutton: I'm probably more like a run stopper, a force inside, but I can move

USFN: What style of defense do you like to run in?
Sutton:  Doesn't matter, any defense that I get tackles.

USFN: Do you like to play inside or outside linebacker?
Sutton: Inside, outside, I play all three.

USFN: What are some of your strengths as a linebacker?
Sutton: My strength is my tackling.

USFN: Is there anything that you would like to work on?
Sutton: I want to work on everything, my tackling, my catching, everything.

USFN: What's your 40 time?
Sutton: I run it in 4.65

USFN: Is there a player on another level, college or pro that you model your game after?
Sutton: Yeah, Derrick Brooks, I like the way he plays.

USFN: How are your grades?
Sutton: I got a 2.7 GPA, and I won't have a problem.

USFN: Are you going to make an official visit to USF?
Sutton: Yeah, my official visit is on January 12th.

USFN: Are you sill planning on taking your visit to Ole Miss and Auburn?
Sutton: "I think I'm still going to take my visits, but nothing is going to change my decision.

USFN: What are you going to do to stay in shape until you get to campus?
Sutton: I'm going to Run and lift.

USFN: How committed are you to USF?
Sutton: I'm committed, USF is where I'm going.
