Travaris Cadet, from Miami Central High School has had a lot of attention lately. Cadet is a three-star prospect ranked the nation's No. 63 wide receiver by Scout.com, and at 6-foot-1, 197 pounds has a nice combination of speed, size and athleticism. He's projected as a receiver, but has played quarterback the last two seasons at Miami central, and is looking to play quarterback in college.

"Almost all of the schools I'm talking to are offing me as a quarterback, and South Florida is recruiting me as a quarterback as well.

This past season playing quarterback, he led Miami Central to an 11-2 record, while passing for 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushing for 400 yards with 1 score. As a junior, he led Miami Central to a 7-2 record, completing 60 percent of his passes for 899 yards and four touchdowns while running 17 times for 109 yards and two scores.

The past month has been busy for Cadet has already making visits to Toledo, Tennessee, and Buffalo.

"I was supposed to go USF last week on the 19th, but with the passing of their running back (Keeley Dorsey) they canceled all their visits. So I visited Buffalo in place of USF last week and rescheduled my USF visit."

With only two weeks until signing day what schools are Cadet going to visit?

"This Friday I go to North Carolina. Then I'm going to South Florida on Feb. 2nd."

How were your visits to Toledo and Buffalo?

"Toledo was alright, it was a good visit." Said Cadet, "Buffalo was alright also, better then I thought it would be, their just missing a couple of pieces there."

With a slew of offers, what schools are leading the race for Cadet currently?

"Right now, its North Carolina, Tennessee, Toledo and South Florida" said Cadet, "But the Florida coach just came by and visited me, and I still talk to FIU also."

"N.C came on strong since butch Davis just got the job in North Carolina, and I know what he did with players when he was at Miami, guys like Santana Moss, Sean Taylor, Clinton Portis, and some others that he was able to produce. He has the mentality to win and establish it at the next level."

"Tennessee is also up there, they have been there since the summer. They're trying to revamp their offense and want a mobile QB."

"I haven't seen USF yet, I  do know they want somebody athletic, and can run the spread offense, but I'll know more after I go on my visit."

Cadet's natural athletic ability makes him a candidate for several positions on the field for the Bulls, but he has stated that he wants to be under center at the next level.

"I want to play quarterback first, but if something doesn't go right, I'm ok with trying another position, but I'm a quarterback first."

As to when Cadet would like to make a decision,

"I'll make my decision probably after I take all of my visits."
