Kavenski McGee the 3 star prospect from Pahokee High School has emerged lately as one of the top tight ends in all of Florida. McGee, 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, finished the season with over 315 yards receiving and 4 touchdowns. McGee turned heads at the 2B State Championship Game, where he caught 3 touchdowns against Trinity Catholic and was named the MVP of state title game.

"Things are going great, we went 14-0, and won the state championship game, it feels good."

McGee is big, strong, has soft hands and is surprisingly quick for his size.

"My strengths are my ability to block and my ability to catch the ball, and I like to hit also. The last time I ran the 40 I ran a 4.49"

McGee plays mainly tight end, but also plays slot receiver and defensive end as well. His size and versatility has several schools interested in the 3 star prospect.

"I got offers from South Florida, Colorado, FIU, FAMU, and I just recently got an offer from North Carolina. I‘ve also been hearing from Georgia Tech, Kansas, and Temple."

With all the interest lately does McGee have a favorite or a top 3?

"Oh yeah, South Florida is my favorite, their my main team."

McGee says that he's good friends with Aston Samuels and Jessie Hester Jr., and that the Bulls have been recruiting him since the season started.

"I speak with coach Jim Leavitt, I feel like we're close, like he's a good friend of mine." said McGee,  "He told me that they need a good tight end that can catch the ball. He made me have a strong interest in them."

McGee has already taken official visits Colorado, and to FAMU last week.

"This week I visit North Carolina, then I have a visit set up with South Florida, next week on the 2nd

As too grades, McGee said "My GPA is a 2.5, and I took the ACT, but I'm going to retake it again February 4th, I didn't do so good."

McGee, who also plays basketball, says one thing is important to him right now.

"My main thing right now is working on my academics. I want to work on getting in, getting my academics right, that way I can focus on football."
