A Tough Decision For Lanefski

This weekend has become the most important recruiting weekend of the year for the Bulls and the biggest recruit coming in could be Jake Lanefski. With Jatavious Jackson fading off the board, South Florida's only other offensive tackle recruit is Lanefski. Although Jake is committed to Kentucky, he tells USFNation that he is still planning to visit USF this weekend.

"I want to make sure I'm making the right decision with Kentucky."

Last weekend Lanefski did not take any visits, he used the off-time to go hunting with his family. However he did have a surprise visitor last week at his school.

"On Tuesday Auburn's head coach, Tommy Tuberville came to see me." Adding, "They said they weren't sure if they have a spot, but they would know by Monday (today)."

If Auburn were to offer Lanefski says the would take the lead.

"I grew up watching them and I would have to say the hometown team would be my leader if I got offered."

Whether or not Auburn will offer has yet to be seen. Until then Jake says his attention is on his upcoming visit with USF. But will it be enough to get him away from Kentucky?

"It really depends on the visit. I'm going down there as a Kentucky commit, but I'm anxious to see what South Florida is about."

Lanefski says he talks with new OC Greg Gregory the most. He will be driving from Alabama with his father on Friday. Stick with USFNation.com for updates on his trip to Tampa.
