Jatavious Jackson: 'USF Is Back In The Mix'

A week ago USF looked to be out of the running for Jatavious Jackson, but after a visit from the Bulls staff it seems to be a 5 team race to the finish. Find out why USF is back in it, his factors in making a decision and who the Bulls will have to compete with to land the star offensive tackle. Get informed, only on USFNation.com!

About a week and a half ago I talked to Jatavious Jackson and USF wasn't even on his radar anymore, but things change. Starting with the cancellation of his visit this weekend to LSU.

"I didn't commit when they wanted me to so they gave my offer to someone else and the visit was off."

Then a few days after the breakdown with LSU, he had a sit down with a couple USF coaches.

"Coach Simmonds is the coach I talk with the most." Jackson added, "We talked for a little while about USF and making decisions. He didn't put pressure on me, it was good."

I asked Jackson if his perception of USF changed as a result of the meeting.

"Yeah I think so. USF is back in the mix."

With only a week until signing day Jackson is unsure of his plans for this weekend.

"I could possibly take a visit to FSU, but I haven't talked with them about it." He also said Ohio state is a possibility.

"Right now I just have to think about some things and find out where I feel most comfortable. I'm going to decide on signing day and announce it at school."

Jackson does not have a top 5, but did say the schools in consideration are USF, FSU, Clemson, WVU and Ohio State. Which means he has dropped UF and LSU since our last update with him. Stay tuned as we follow Jatavious through signing day.
