Thomas Edenfield 6-6, 295 pound offensive tackle prospect was one of the more sought after prospects coming out of Florida this year. The talented big man  had offers from almost everybody including Clemson, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina, North Carolina, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Central Florida, Indiana, and Louisville among others. The Scout.com three star prospect visited South Florida this past weekend and while he was there, enjoyed his visit enough to name the Bulls as one of his final two choices.

"It will be down to USF and Southern Miss."

Before his junior season, Edenfield transferred from Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln to Bartram Trail where Darrel Southerland now coaches him.

"I spoke to Thomas this morning, and he told me he'd going to go home tonight, and discuss it with his family, and then they will call all the coaches tonight." said Coach Southerland.

Edenfield said "Most important is academics," and added "That and I'm looking for a good atmosphere."  He visited both schools the past week, and had good things to say about both schools.

"He really liked both coaching staffs, particularly coach Leavitt, and the offensive line coach (Simmonds) there at USF. He liked both places, he had a lot of the same things to say about both programs, he was impressed with both." Added Coach Southerland

As to when Edenfield will make his decision of where he will spend his next 4-5 years?

"He wants to be able to tell the various coaches what his decision will be tonight. His mom and him want to talk to the two coaches, and then he will announce his decision tomorrow."

As to Grades Edenfield has been working hard in the classroom to meet his academic requirements for enrollment.

"He has vastly improved over this last year. This last semester he had all A's and one C.  I don't have the records in front of me, but with his GPA, we have a blended schedule, some classes are weighted more then others, so when those come in he'll be able to improve his GPA, but  I don't know by how much right now.

Stay tuned with USFNation.com as we follow Edenfield tomorrow to see who he signs his LOI with.
