In this exclusive interview find out why he chose USF, what type of a player he is, and much much more. Read on to find out what he had to say. Only on! Get it First, Get it Fast!

Dontavia Bogan Profile Why did you choose USF?
Dontavia Bogan: Basically because they been there since the beginning with my recruitment, and everything, they stuck with me. They been my number one for a long time.

USFN: What are some of the things that you like about USF?
Bogan: There is something about that area down there in Tampa. It fits me and my personality and everything, and I like the football program a lot.

USFN: Have you been following the Bulls this season?
Bogan: Oh yeah, they were exciting to watch.

USFN: How long have the Bulls been recruiting you, and who were involved?
Bogan: They had been talking to me ever since spring of last year. i used to speak with Coach Frey and I talked to coach Dawsey, but when I went on my visit I spoke to coach Leavitt.

USFN: Which coach made the biggest impression on you during your recruitment?
Bogan: Coach Leavitt, he's a real good guy, we got along great. I'm ready to play ball for him.

USFN: Do you know any of the current players on the Bulls?
Bogan: Cedric Hill and Carlton Williams, they're from Valdosta. That's like 45 minutes from Thomasville where I live, when I was in eighth grade, they played our high school when they were seniors.

USFN: What type of a defense/ offense do you like to run the most?
Bogan: On defense, I played safety, and we ran a 4-4, and I'm the only safety, so it was a run stop defense. I liked that. On offense we were a running team mostly, so my passing yards, and catches were limited, so I when we lined up in the shotgun, I liked it.

USFN: What type of defense do you like to see when you get to the line?
Bogan: Since we ran a 4-4 defense a lot, I liked it when a team was in a I-back formation, we would just crush that all day.

What is your favorite route to run?
Bogan: I like them all, but my favorite is to get the ball in the backfield and run for a touchdown.

USFN: What position are the Bulls recruiting you for, and do you play any other positions?
Bogan: They're bringing me in as a receiver, but I play defensive back, running back, quarterback, and I also return kicks.

USFN: Are you flexible to play at a position of need and excel at it?
Bogan: Of course, I'll play wherever they need me at, and be great at it.

USFN: What are some of your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
Bogan: I got good size. Great hands, speed, and also my feet, I got good movement.

USFN: Is there anything you want to work on?
Bogan: I like to work on my stop blocking as a receiver.

USFN: Is there a player on another level, college or pro that you model your game after?
Bogan: Calvin Johnson of Georgia Tech, it's amazing how you can be 6'6, 235, and run a 4.35. His ability to catch the football and make great plays, plus he's a real good person too.

USFN: What are your current height, weight and 40 yard time?
Bogan: 6'1, 185 pounds, and I run a 4.49.

USFN: What are you going to do to stay in shape before you get to Campus?
Bogan: I just work out, I work at a fitness place, so I can work out when I work. I work out twice a day.

USFN: Do you play any other sports?
Bogan: No, just football.

USFN: Do they have any problems redshirting?
Bogan: No, I got no problem with that whatsoever.

USFN: Do you enjoy playing special teams, and do you return kicks?
Bogan: Oh yeah, I enjoy it, and I also return kicks offs.

USFN: What do they plan to accomplish while here at USF?
Bogan: I want to get my degree, I'm not sure what I want to major in yet, but I want to get my degree. I want to make myself better, the team better, and win the BCS.

USFN: What three things come to your head when I say USF?
Bogan: USF, a growing program, great coaching staff, and a great environment.

USFN: What team are they most looking forward to playing against in the next 4 years?
Bogan: In the BIG EAST, West Virginia. I'm also looking forward to Auburn next season, and I want a shot at Florida, and hopefully they'll get FSU on the schedule while I'm there.

USFN: How are your grades, how are you toward qualifying.
Bogan: I got all A's and one C this semester. I have a 2.5 core, and got a 910 on my SAT, So I'm fine.

USFN: Are you excited to get to campus?
Bogan: I can't wait, the end of the school year can't get here fast enough.
