"Indiana and Michigan offered early. I get a lot of calls and letters from UF, USF, Notre Dame and Purdue."
How does a kid from Indiana get a lot of early interest from a team like the Bulls?
"My personal trainer is a good friend of Coach Simmons." Adding, "Coach Simmons and I talk a lot and we've developed a good friendship over the phone. I'm looking forward to meeting him."
That meeting may come soon, Cave says he decided to visit Florida for his spring break. However this won't be a typical high school students spring break.
"I'm going to take an unofficial visit to USF and UF. I'm going with my parents."
He is using this time to help narrow down a top 5.
"I want to get a top 5 before summer starts. That's how I will pick the camps I go to in June, July and August."
This summer is crucial to Cave's development, he says getting stronger and faster are his main goals.
"Right now I'm doing a lot of agility and feet drills with my teammates. I know that every year the defenders are getting bigger, stronger and faster, I need to work to stay ahead of those guys."
USFNation will follow Braxston up through his spring break visit with USF. We'll also update you with his top 5 at the end of the school year. If the Bull's can make the first cut they could have a great shot at landing one of the top centers in the nation.
