"The season is going okay, we've played four games and we're 2-2.I have no idea how many tackles I have but I got 2.5 sacks, and last week I had a tackle for a 10 yard loss that got the crowd going."
At 6-foot-4, 275 pounds Davis is big and athletic and versatile enough to excel on both sides of the ball at Lee HS. He describes himself as being skilled and quick on the offensive line and dominant on the defensive side recording 6 sacks last year.
"I can play on both sides of the field, on defense I can play either tackle or defensive end, and on offense I play either tackle or guard, but mostly pulling guard."
When we first introduced you to you Brandon Davis from LeeHigh School back in May, he was some-what under the radar. Since then a lot has changed as Davis has a list of offers including the likes of USF, West Virginia, Louisville, Illinois, N.C. State, Maryland, Ole Miss, Indiana, UCF and Middle Tennessee. With an impressive list of offers, Davis has narrowed his choices down to two.
"Right now I'm leaning towards South Florida and FSU."
It seems like Davis wants to stay in Florida, and he holds an offer from USF, but doesn't have one from FSU. He did have something to say about both schools.
On the Bulls:
"I like USF, they're an up and coming program and they're exciting to watch. I like the way they play offense and they have been doing real good lately. They also been recruiting me for awhile, I talk to Coach Douglas a lot, he tells me how much they like me and all that."
On the Seminoles:
"With FSU, I just like the way they play defense, there's something about FSU and defense."
Davis hasn't taken any visits yet but plans on taking an unofficial to FSU this upcoming weekend, and plans on visiting USF as well, but probably won't make a decision until after the season.
"I'm going to try and catch a couple of USF games, I'm not sure which. I also plan on taking an official visit there and learn more about the program"
The talented two player said that the Bulls are looking at him for both offense and defense, but he may be more suitable on the offensive side of the ball. He also said they're recent success has caught his attention.
"I wasn't able to watch the West Virginia game, but afterwards I saw the score and was like whoa! I thought they would play them tough, but with all the talk I thought West Virginia would win. They really played them tough and showed what kind of a team they are. After that it really makes them stand out from the others."
Davis claims to run the forty-yard dash in the 5.0 range, can bench press 380 pounds, squat 580 and power clean 275. He currently has a 2.4-2.5 grade point average and took the ACT recently and is waiting for the results.
When we first starting talking toBrandon he only had two offers, the Bulls offer came later and then so did a bunch more. With all those offers, Davis still lists USF and FSU as his favorites. Brandon has grown since last year by over an inch, and says he's still growing. He's big an athletic, just what the Bulls like in a player. Davis has a good relationship with the USF coaches and his interest in the Bulls has grown considerably. He doesn't have an offer from the Seminoles at this time and the chances of him becoming a Bull look very good, but only time will tell.
