Mike Triglia is one of the top tight end prospects in North Florida, Triglia helped lead Bolles to the Class 2A state championship as a junior. He finished the regular season with eight catches for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
This season the 6-foot-4, 233 pound tight end already has 3 TD's and over 200 yards receiving.
"Last year I didn't have a big role in the offense." Said Triglia. "This year I'm being used a lot more in the passing game. Blocking is my strength but I worked a lot in the offseason on my route running and that has helped me a lot this year."
On Sunday Mike spoke with USFNation.com on his way home from a visit to Illinois.
"It was a great visit. The game was really fun and it was awesome meeting their coaching staff."
As of now Triglia has several offers including Georgia Tech, Illinois, Arkansas State and he says that Ole Miss and Wake Forest could offer shortly. Another team on the verge of offering is South Florida.
"On Friday coach Douglas was at my game. I talk to him about once a week, I have interest in them and they have interest in me."
Two weeks ago Mike made an unofficial visit to the Bulls game when they took on UCF, he said it was a great atmosphere and he hopes an offer is on its way.
"Right now I have one official visit scheduled and that will be to Georgia Tech. If USF offers I will take an official there also. "
Triglia declined to name a favorite at this point saying he's, "Looking at all options." He is still taking his tests and says that he will take two more unofficial visits to the Georgia/Georgia Tech and Ole Miss/LSU games this fall.
Stick with USFNation to find out if/when the Bulls offer this Jacksonville tight end.
Mike Triglia is a prospect that if the Bulls can find room for, they would love to have. The team is in the process of changing their offense into more of a power set with two strong tight ends. There will need to be depth at this position and I don't think signing three tight ends this year is out of the question.
