Bulls Offer Miami DE

The South Florida staff has offered another prospect out of the Miami area. Find out more about this 6'4, 220 pound DE. Only on USFNation.com!

The latest name on the South Florida recruiting radar is Sean Ferguson from Norland High School in Miami. Ferguson is a 6-foot-4, 220 pound defensive end/left tackle. This season he has racked up 12 sacks in helping his team to a 7-3 record including a playoff berth. Ferguson is a relentless pass rusher who has dominated the opposing offensive linemen with his speed.

"I'm fast and aggressive." Adding, "My favorite move is the club-and-rip or just a pure speed rush."

With his success has come college scholarship offers. He has several, the main one's being FIU, USF, Central Michigan, Rutgers, Middle Tennessee and Mississippi State. The Bulls have been the most recent to offer.

"Coach Larry Scott recruits me and a couple weeks ago I got an offer in the mail."

Ferguson, who started the season at 230 pounds also plays left tackle for his high school team, but thinks he's a better fit at defensive end on the next level.

"I'm working on getting bigger, my goal is to be at 240 by the start of next year."

After his season Sean plans to take 5 visits. As of now he doesn't have any scheduled but says USF will be one of them.

"I don't know much about (USF) them right now, I'll definitely take a visit there."

What is he looking for when choosing a school? That's simple:

"I just want to win."

My Take:
USF is thin on the defensive line and is looking to add talent behind franchise DE George Selvie. Sean Ferguson is built in the same mold and could learn a lot from a mentor like Selvie.
