JUCO WR: "I'm coming to take over!"

All season the Bulls were looking for a spark from their WR's, but due to injury it just wasn't there. However, one player plans on changing that next year. Read on for the entire story. Only on USFNation.com!

On October 1st wide receiver Anthony Jones told the USF coaching staff that he was ready to commit and sign with the Bulls on signing day. Now a month later the 6-1, 180 pound wide-out will be on his way to Tampa this Friday, from Mississippi for an official visit.

"I'm so excited about my visit, I can't wait."

Every incoming recruit is assigned a host and Jones says he already knows his will be Carlton Mitchell.

"I've never met him, but he seems like a good guy. I've seen him play though. He can do some special things on the football field."

Anthony Jones also has a message for his future teammates.

"I want you to tell them that I'm coming." Jones said jokingly, "Tell them I'm coming and I'm going to take over!"

More than anything he's ready to be apart of a winning team and hopefully be the missing piece to a Big East Championship.

Out of Rickards in Tallahassee, Jones was a National Top 100 prospect on Scout.com. He had offers from Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Auburn. He committed to Oklahoma State coming out, but didn't make grades.

This season at North East Mississippi Community College he had 57 catches for over 500 yard and 4 TD's despite constant double coverage. His only worry now is making grades.

"My grades are real good. I don't miss a day of school. When I get to USF I'm going to be a Sports Management major."

Besides school, Jones is working out and playing basketball to stay in shape. USFNation will have a full update with the WR after his visit to Tampa.
