B. J Daniels, a 6-foot-1 195 pound signal caller from Lincoln HS in Tallahassee is one of the top prospects of the Bulls. On Monday, USF receivers coach & passing game coordinator Mike Canales traveled to Tallahassee for an in-home visit to meet with Daniels and his parents.

"Coach Canales came by and visited me this evening," said Daniels. "We talked about the situation with their quarterbacks, and talked about visits, but I only talked with him for a bit, he spent most of the time talking with my parents."

Daniels told USFNation.com the visit went well.

"It went good," said Daniels. "We talked mostly about the QB situation, and then talked about USF and all about their program. He spent most the time with my parents, but I haven't had a chance to talk with them, so I don't know how it went or what they spoke about."

Apparently, Canales made a positive impression with Daniels.

"We pretty much got a background on USF and Coach Canales told us his background, he's legit."

At this point Daniels is still setting up his visit schedule, but has two possible dates set. "Right now I have a visit scheduled for Memphis, and USF is looking at January 11th, but nothing is set in stone."

Daniels won't name a leader or top five but said a few schools keep in the most contact. "USF is recruiting me the hardest. After that it's Memphis and Alabama."

Where does USF stand for the duel-threat signal caller?

"They're pretty high up there right now, and are the top school in Florida recruiting me."

When does the Lincoln product plan on making his decision?

"I probably won't make my decision until signing day."

This year Daniels threw for over 2,500 yards, rushed for another 700, threw for 34 TD's, breaking the school record of 32 while rushing for 11 scores.
