This weekend USF commit Daniel Bryant from Lawton Chiles HS in Tallahassee came to Tampa to see the place he will call home for the next 4 years.

"It was great and I had a lot of fun the entire weekend," said Bryant. "I had a ball"

Hosting Bryant for the weekend was a USF receiver Carlton Mitchell.

"My host was Carlton Mitchell. I met Carlton the day I committed to USF when they played UCF at home. Carlton is a great guy, very down to earth. I knew I wanted him to be my host."

With a weekend full of activities what was the 3-star receiver favorite part?

"My favorite part actually was the tour around the whole campus, seeing the media center, where everybody hangs out and everything. The campus is beautiful. It was nice to se it all and get a feel for it all." Bryant also added, "Busch Garden was fun too, Lot of good food, the food was really great.

Although Daniel has been on USF's campus a handful of times he says he still wanted to know more about the School and the campus.

"I knew just about everything all ready, I just asked different players a few questions about around the campus, things they do, thing I can learn from, things like that. Everybody was great, the players and coaches, I really felt like that was home."

Daniel also said that simply hanging with the players and other recruits is what he really enjoyed.

"I hung with Carlton, Padric and his host Sampson. We have a lot in common and bonded well.  We had a good time just hanging out."

With dozens of other offers and other schools still pursuing him, did the official visit to Tampa help secure the receivers decision?

"Yes indeed, but it was already secure before I came down there. Every time I come down here I love it more and more.

Daniel knows what he wants to accomplish when he gets to USF.

"I can't wait to get on campus. Once I do, I want to succeed at everything I do here, and get my degree.  I want to know that when I'm done with my time at USF that I did everything I could to help the USF football program, the university and myself."

Bryant did say that when they were watching the highlight reels that it made him even more eager.

"Seeing the highlight tapes was great. It made me want to go jump on the field right then, and go do some one ones."

The top rated receiver may want to strap it on for the Bulls now, but he know he's got to wait a little bit, and also knows with his senior season now over what he plans to do until that time.

"From now until I get to campus, I'll be training all the time. I want to work on my speed, and condition myself, get stronger and get ready for when I step on campus."

The 3-star Bryant said he rated his visit to South Florida as perfect and said USF was his last visit.

"This is it. I'm very happy and excited to be a Bull. I plan on being in Tampa in June, and can't wait."
