Once again, Johnson impressed by USF

Orhian Johnson took his official visit to Tampa this weekend and even though he's a local kid he said there was still a few things he wanted to see on his visit. Read on to find out who his host was, what he liked about the visit and what his future plans are. Only on USFNation.com!

Orhian Johnson, ATH from Boca Ciega high school has always been high on the Bulls. USFNation talked to him early last spring and he said he would be honored if the staff extended an offer. They did just that during the summer, ever since Orhian has had nothing but great things to say about his hometown team. This weekend the 6-foot-4 quarterback from Pinellas County took an official visit to Tampa.

"My visit went real well. I enjoyed it, my parents enjoyed it and I had a real good talk with Coach Leavitt before I left."

"We talked about my position, where I could play. He wants me to come and be a part of the program and contribute any way that I can."

A.J. Love played host for the weekend, Orhian actually competed against A.J. when he was a sophomore and Love was a senior.

"I had to guard A.J. when I was a sophomore. He's a good guy. He took me out to eat at the café where all the players hangout. I got to meet them and talk for a while."

Being in his hometown gave Orhian a chance to actually show some of the other recruits what Tampa was all about.

"It was different (from his other visits) because when they took us places I actually knew where we were going."

"I showed some of the other recruits how it is in the Bay Area."

Johnson said he had a chance to spend time with the other incoming recruits.

"I met B.J. Daniels and Quavon Taylor."

"Taylor is a real cool dude, he's laid back, just a good guy. The linebacker from Lake Mary (Mike Lanaris), he's real cool and has a great family."

He also had a surprisingly good experience with an in-county rival.

"My roommate was Armando Sanchez from Northeast. I think the staff did that on purpose cause we are rivals. It was fun though."

With three visits complete Orhian says he's working on one more.

"I'm going to sit down with my dad tomorrow (Monday) and we're going to look at a few schools and pick one to visit this weekend."

Signing day will be decision day for Orhian, he has planned this all along, and USFNation will be at his school for the big announcement.
