Pinellas OT getting interest from USF

Pinellas County is packed with talent this year. Find out what's going on with Osceola's Austin Tottle and why he might be a good fit for the Bulls. Only on!

Osceola high school in Seminole hasn't been a hot-bed for football talent, but this year there is a name worth remembering. Austin Tottle is a 6-foot-4 ½, 315 pound right tackle that has been getting early attention from the USF coaching staff.

"The Bulls haven't offered, but I get something in the mail from them a couple times a week."

Tottle doesn't have any offers just yet, he says there are several teams that have already expressed interest.

"Either me or my coach has heard from USF, FSU, Harvard, Auburn, Iowa and Duke."

Last season Tottle played tackle on offense and defense. He says that he's only being recruited as a tackle by college coaches.

"There's no doubt I'm an offensive lineman. I love to run block."

"My favorite play is when they call a 46-Dive. I go straight forward and mow people over."

While he's tough on the outside, Austin is no slouch in the classroom, he's got a 3.2 GPA and a 1210 score on his first attempt at the SAT. He's also familiar with USF, his sister is currently enrolled.

"I know a lot about USF, I would prefer to stay in-state. I also like Georgia Tech."

Austin says he'll be working out on his own until spring practice starts, and he'll also schedule a couple combine/camps in the coming months. Stick with USFNation, for the latest on this hometown prospect.
