South Florida has done a good job recruiting the Panhandle in recent years and this year they will need to pull out all the stops to land one of the top linebackers in the state, Wille Farrell. Find out who's already offered and what his plans are for this spring. Only on USFNation.com!

Once again FAMU high school in Tallahassee is loaded with talent. Last year the Bulls made a hard push at RB Richard Watson, this year they have their sights set on a linebacker named Willie Ferrell. The 6-foot-2, 200 pound linebacker could be one of the top linebacker prospects in the state by the end of his senior year.

As a junior Ferrell racked up 167 tackles, forced six fumbles, recovered three other fumbles, picked off two passes and sacked the quarterback eight times, helping his team to a 9-5 record and a spot in the 1B state championship game. They lost to Jupiter Christian, 27-14.

Already he's getting prepared for a very important senior year.

"I'm working on everything." Ferrell added, "I started watching film two weeks ago. I'm want to improve my speed, especially my explosion into a tackle."

Ferrell has received 3 early offers including FIU, LSU and FAMU. He also says he was told a USF offer was sent in the mail, but he has not seen it yet.

"When I choose a school I'll be looking at a couple different factors, the coaches are important. I want a family atmosphere, with both the players and coaches. I'll also look at the academics and graduation rate."

There is a long-way to go till signing day, and a lot of work to be done. Ferrell says in preparation for his senior year he'll be attending a number of camps and junior days. As of now he knows of 3 or 4.

"I'm going to LSU's junior day, I'll be at USF's camp over the summer. I've been invited to a camp at Southern Cal over the summer and I'll probably go to the Nike combine at UF."
