Rodney Scott, RB from Dixie Co HS talks to USFNation about his visit to USF and what he learned about the Bulls while on the trip. Find out who else has offered and what will be the main factor when making a final decision. Read on for the entire story.

With one running back already committed the staff at South Florida is still looking to add another. One of the top targets is from Dixie County high school and his name is Rodney Scott. The 5-foot-8, 190 pound back carried the ball 250 times for 2,017 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Scott had five straight games of over 200 yards during the middle part of the season.

With all his success as a junior Rodney has picked up several early offers including USF, Auburn, South Carolina, Miss. St and Ole Miss. Coach Mike Canales is his main recruiter and was the one that invited him to attend USF's annual junior day 3 weeks ago.

"I liked it a lot." Scott added that before this trip he didn't know much about the Bulls. "I learned they are an up and coming team that is going to be good for a long time."

Scott enjoyed the trip and talking with the coaches. With his size and speed, Rodney is an ideal back for the type of offense the Bulls run.

"The coaches were telling me they liked my style of running and that they like down-hill runners and that's my strength."

Earlier this month Rodney talked to Jamie Newberg of Scout.com about his running style.

"I love to run over people and I running with power is what I do best," said Scott. "I can run around defenders too but my power is the best part of my game. A lot comes natural but I have worked hard in the weight room."

When making his final choice Scott says there are two main factors that he'll consider.

"I'm looking at schools that can offer me a chance to get on the field early and I want to live in an environment that I feel comfortable in. Those are the two main factors."

Rodney Scott has a long way to go till decision time, he says he'll make his commitment somewhere in the middle of his season, after he takes a couple early official visits. Stick with USFNation for the latest on Scott and other top prospects on the Bulls recruiting board.
