The Bulls wasted no time in offering Plantation cornerback Josh Robinson. Three days after signing day an offer was at his school. Since then he's received a total of nine offers including South Carolina and Tennessee. As a junior Robinson was a two-way player who finished his the year with 15 catches for 282 yards and 2 scores on offense. On defense, he had 45 tackles and three picks. He said in early March that he wants to play corner in college.
"Some schools are looking at me as a receiver, but for the most part I'm being recruited as a corner."
Robinson says he's a better corner after playing years of receiver.
"I love getting after the ball and hitting." Josh added, "I have the speed and the hands from playing receiver. That helps me to go up against the receiver and out play him for the ball. I also love to hit and I'm not afraid to bang a running back or quarterback."
The 5-foot-11, 179 pound DB says he's already narrowed his nine offers down to a top 4 and he talked about each in no particular order:
UCF: I recently visited their campus and I liked it a lot, the facilities were real nice, the dorms the whole atmosphere. I also watched them practice and I liked how everything was run.
USF: They told me I could have a chance to play early. I didn't get a good look at the campus when I was there for the 7on7, so I want to come back and take an official visit in the fall.
South Carolina: I haven't been there or even in the area but I talk to Coach Gillespie a lot and he tells me about it and they say I could play offense or defense.
Indiana: They're recruiting me as an offensive player, and I really enjoy having the ball in my hands."
Robinson initially thought that he'd try to knock his decision out
On May 1st Robinson's team starts spring football and he says that he'll concentrate more on corner this year because that's where he sees himself playing on the next level.
"I'm going to work on getting out of my break quicker and jamming harder at the line."
USFNation will check back with Josh Robinson later in the spring and find out what camps he'll be attending this summer.
