Gulliver Prep Safety Recently Offered by USF

This year the Bulls are looking to add speed and size to the safety position. That's why Frank Crawford is one of the latest recruits to be offered by South Florida. Read on to find out what he thinks of USF and who else has offered.

As a junior safety Frank Crawford had an outstanding season intercepting 6 passes, 2 of which were brought back for touchdowns. He also had 55 tackles and 1 fumble recovery, as a result he was awarded 1st Team All-Dade County and 2nd-Team All-State.

"My strength is definitely my cover skills. I can tackle and do everything else, I just feel my biggest strength is my cover skills."

Last week spring practice wrapped up for Crawford and he feels improvements were made in his all-around game.

"I worked a lot on getting to the ball, I feel I had a good spring." Adding, "I improved on a lot of the things I struggled with last year. Most of all I was working on making sure my teammates stayed focused. I tried to be a better leader."

All throughout the spring Crawford had college coaches coming in and out of his school to see him and ten of those coaches chose to offer the 6-foot and a half, 210 pound safety.

"Most recently I was offered by FIU. I also have South Carolina, Ole Miss, Minnesota, Alabama, South Florida, Michigan State, Iowa State, Syracuse and Duke."

Frank says he found out he was offered by USF the morning of his spring game.

"I like the USF program. It's not that far from home and I see they are a program that is on the rise and they are just getting better."

The Bulls have offered Crawford as a safety and he says that is the position he intends to play on the next level. This summer Crawford will participate in several camps including Miami, South Florida, Alabama, South Carolina and Ole Miss.

Crawford says he will make his final decision shortly after his season ends. He will take all five visits before announcing.

"I know I'm going to take an official visit to South Florida and South Carolina. The other three I'm not sure of right now, but I plan on taking them."

USFNation will have another update with Frank Crawford after the USF camp on June 21st.
