Does Rodney Scott Still Favor Bulls?

Three weeks ago USFNation broke the story that Rodney Scott was rethinking his commitment to Auburn. Today we caught up with him for an update on the latest in his recruitment. He tells us who his favorite is, what he's been hearing from the Auburn coaches and when he'll make a final decision. Read on for the entire story.

Three weeks ago USFNation spoke with Rodney Scott and the Dixie County runningback informed us he was rethinking his decision to commit to Auburn. Scott said he may have pulled the trigger early and after talking with his parents he was thinking that he wanted to go to school closer to home. Three weeks have passed and Scott says he's been in contact with both schools.

"I called coach Canales a couple times and we've talked and stuff like that. I've also talked to the Auburn coaches a little bit, but not as much as I used to." One of the reasons Scott may be talking less with Auburn is because under NCAA guidelines the coaches are not allowed to call recruits after the Spring Evaluation period. After spring it is up to the recruit to initiate contact.

After thinking it over for three weeks Scott still has the Bulls as his leader.

"Right now my leader is South Florida." Adding, "I'm going to think about it for another couple weeks and be ready to make a final decision at the end of July or beginning of August. I want to do it before my season starts."

When it comes down to making a final choice Rodney says he'll decide between three teams.

"South Florida is number one then Auburn and Ole Miss."

Since spring practice has ended the offers have slowed and it's given Rodney time to think out his big decision. Scott was recently at USF's SuperBull camp, he said he enjoyed working with the coaches and competing against great competition. Stick with USFNation for the latest as we follow Rodney Scott through his recruitment.
