CB Robinson: "USF & UCF are my top 2 schools"

The Bulls are competing with rival UCF on the field and off this year. 3 Star corner Josh Robinson tells USFNation that he'll be on the sidelines for this year's UCF vs. USF game. Find out what he'll be watching for and why it could impact his decision. Get informed, only on USFNation.com!

For months now Plantation corner back Josh Robinson has been the number one CB prospect on the USFNation Hot 20, he's also been heavily recruited by the staff at South Florida. It's only fitting that we caught up with Josh one more time before his season begins in two weeks.

"I had a good summer, I had fun." Robinson added, "I worked with my teammates a lot this summer, the only camp I went to was the SuperBull at South Florida."

Although Robinson didn't participate in many camps he did take a couple unofficial visits, most notably a trip to UCF in July.

"It was actually a visit for my family. I've already seen everything before, I wanted my family to see everything they have to offer."

Summer is coming to an end which means it's time for Robinson to focus on his season and to narrow down the list of schools he'll be considering. It's a process that he's been working on for a few weeks and he admits it hasn't been easy. He says he started by coming up with factors that will play into his decision, he then applied those factors to the schools that have offered and came up with a list of 4.

"The factors in my decision are academics, I want a good criminal justice program because I'd like to go to law school after football. Secondly, a strong staff that will be there the entire time I'm playing, and finally I'm looking at depth charts to see where I can get the most playing time."

In no order these are the 4 schools along with the reason Robinson likes them:

South Florida- They are close to home, the academics and a chance to play early. I like Coach (Troy) Douglas, he knows what it takes to make it, he's put guys in the pros and he knows what I have to do in order to make it to that next level.

Central Florida- They have a great Coaching staff. I've heard great things about Coach O'Leary, he's been a coach on the NFL level . They are also a good academic school with a football team that's on the rise.

Michigan- Big time football program. I haven't had a chance to see it in person, I'm going to take an official visit there and see what they have to offer.

Florida- Another school that competes every year for the title, they would give me the exposure to be seen across the country. Playing time is something that I don't see. They tell me it's there, but I have to find out exactly what it's going to be like. I want them to lay it all out for me as far as the depth chart goes.

Throughout the summer Josh Robinson has been quoted as being very interested in USF and UCF, he's also made more visits to those two schools than any others. Is it safe to say the Bulls and Knights are his top two teams?

"Yeah, I'd say USF and UCF are my top two teams."

"I'm actually going to the game when they play each other at UCF. I will definitely go see that game just to get a chance to see them both play at the same time and how they compete."

When it comes to official visits Robinson says he doubts he'll take official's to the schools he's already seen. Michigan will be one of them and he's debating on taking visits to South Carolina and Tennessee.

USFNation will follow Robinson throughout the rest of his recruitment and up to his decision, which he says will come on November 30th at his church.
