The Bulls O-line took a hit this week when USF head coach Jim Leavitt announced that sophomore right guard Zach Hermann has suffered a broken left foot and will not be available for the Bulls game against Kansas this weekend.
Hermann started every game as a redshirt freshman with 15 career starts for USF. Hermann suffered the injury at practice on Monday and underwent surgery on Wednesday.
The injury is not season ending, but Coach Leavitt did not want to put a time table on his recovery.
Joe Herzhauser has been listed as the back-up at right guard, but the Bulls could slide Ryan Schmidt back to guard where he played all of last season and insert Jake Sims one of the Bulls top back-ups at tackle.
