With signing day just around the corner, it's getting close to decision time for many uncommitted players, and Largo 3-star linebacker Mike Marry is one of them.

"It's been a long process, and I'm ready to find out where I'm going to play," said Marry. "I want to "I want to take the rest of my visits, see all the schools, make decision as soon as possible,"

The 6' 3", 220 pound middle linebacker finished the season with 100 tackles, 7 sacks, and 1 interception. Last season, he collected 122 tackles, 4 sacks, and 1 interception. Marry earned back to back Tampa Bay Times Defensive Player of the Year, and is one of the more coveted players in Florida with over 20 BCS offers, but has narrowed his choices down to the schools he's visiting. Marry has already visited Iowa State, USF and Duke, and has two visits scheduled.

"I got Ole Miss this week and maybe West Virginia after that, but I don't know. I'll know after this weekend's visit."

How does the programs Marry visited compare with one another?

"All of them are different and alike in their own ways," said Marry. "I'll have to sit down and think about it, because I like each school in a different way."

Iowa State, "I like the players mainly, and I like the new coaches. My former teammate Leonard Johnson is there and tells me it's nice, they teach you good and work hard in practice."

Duke, "I like their academics, they are one of the top academic institutions in the country, I also the coaches, and the players."

South Florida, "I like the coaches, especially Coach Leavitt, he's a real cool coach. The players treated me real nice when I was there, and they got a nice campus, a big campus. I like them a lot, and I think they're going to be real good very soon."

While on the visit Marry got a chance to talk with the Bulls coaching staff and says he' speaks the most with Coach Leavitt and Coach Wally Burnham.

"Coach Leavitt is very energetic, and the players tell me he's a great coach, and cares about his players," said Marry. "I speak a lot to Coach Burnham, and like the way he coaches. He pushes players hard and gets the most out of them."

Marry won't name any favorites but is considering the schools that he visited or is visiting, but knows what he's looking for in a program.

"I'm looking at academics, the atmosphere of the college, and how the players and coaches all get along. I'd like to play early, but if they think I'm not ready then I'll redshirt. I'm just looking for what's best for me."
