Largo (FL) DB/WR Mike Lang took his fourth, and what will be his final visit this weekend, going out to Iowa State for an official visit.

"My visit went really good," said Lang. "I really enjoyed myself in Iowa."

The 6-foot, 180-pound athlete was hosted by a former teammate freshman Leonard Johnson.

"I've been friends with Leonard for a long time, he showed me around and told me all about the football program and that he really likes it up there."

Lang got to see the campus, catch a basketball game and learn everything he needed about Iowa State."

"I got a lot of information from the coaches and the academic advisors. I learned a lot about the school."

With that trip under his belt, Lang had an available visit, but has canceled the trip and has narrowed his field of choices down to three. "I'm pretty much done with visits so now," said Lang. "I'm down to Iowa State, UConn and South Florida."

"I'm looking at where I fit in the best, the academics, where I'll get more playing time, and things like that,. " said Lang. "I'm going to sit down with my family and make the best decision for me."

With his field down to three programs and signing day approaching, do any of the three schools stand out for Lang?

"Iowa State and UConn are the front runners right now," said Lang. "Pretty much with both of them I have a good chance of playing early, said Lang. "Also academics are amazing at both schools and I like the coaching staffs."

If those two schools have an edge, what is keeping the Bulls in the running?

"It's a great school with good coaches, and I had a very good visit, but what keeps them up there is they're close to home."

So now Lang will talk things over with his family and make the best decision, but fans may not have to wait until signing day to find out.

"I want to make the decision as soon as possible. I don't know when exactly, but it'll most likely be before signing day, and you'll be the first to know."
